The MTPA in partnership with several local partners organised a roadshow in China, more precisely in Shanghai and Beijing on the 26th and 27th March respectively. This meeting was a great success with the participation of more than 170 agents, representatives and TOs of both states in China.

Since January the arrivals for the Chinese market have kicked off with more than 11, 880 tourists representing an outstanding growth of 71, 9% compared to last year’s performance. The Minister of Tourism and Leisure, the Hon. Michael Sik Yuen is looking forward to double the number of arrivals of the Chinese market compared to 2012 and to have more than 40,000 Chinese tourists visiting Mauritius [ … ] |

Mauritius was among the big names to emerge victorious at the World Travel Awards 2013 Indian Ocean ceremony, held at the Paradise Island Resort & Spa, Maldives on 12 May 2013. In fact, Mauritius won several trophies, namely the “Indian Ocean’s Leading Dive Destination” and the “Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination”.
