Kiteival – Kite Surf Festival

 

 

 

Kiteival is the first and unique Annual Kite Surf Festival occurring in different stages all around Mauritius, in one event!

The first edition has been a real and promising success with 37 "pioneer" participants,including pros, international and local kiters.

The festival is opened to all levels of kitesurfing.For amateurs, interaction and proximity with professionals remains a fantastic and memorable experience

Programme

Saturday 11.08.12

• Last date for arrival at hotel

• Accommodation will be at Tamassa 4* situated just 15mns by car from Le Morne One Eye!

• Final registration and Briefing at Tamassa Conference Room – meeting time at 19h00

• Dinner at hotel and party at hotel’s Night Club

• Night at Tamassa

 

Sunday 12.08.12

• Stage – South and South west coast - Tamassa to Le Morne crossing

• Distance: 7 nautical miles of down winder through the beautiful lagoons of La Prairie and Le Morne Public Beach

• Transfer from Tamassa to Le Morne (15mns) for accompanying persons after down winder start. Lunch for all at EmbaFilao beach Restaurant at Le Morne and transfer back to Tamassa for all in the afternoon.

• Dinner at hotel

• Night at Tamassa

 

Monday 13.08.12

• Free day

• Full day at Le Morne One Eye for those who want to enjoy the spot!

• Transfer by coach to Le Morne (15mns) for participants and accompanying persons and back to Tamassa after sunset.

• Dinner at hotel

• Night at Tamassa

 

Tuesday 14.08.12

• Check out from Tamassa and transfer by coach to stage Start (40mns) at Pointe d’Esny Nautical Club for participants and accompanying persons.

• Stage full day - South east to east coast – Pointe d’Esny to Ile aux Cerfs crossing

• Distance: 10 nautical miles with lunch at Ile aux Cerfs.

• Accompanying persons joins the participants for the lunch – boat transfer from Trou d’Eau Douce

• Transfer to and check in at Merville Beach Hotel at Grand Bay for participants and accompanying persons after stage

• Dinner at hotel

• Night at Merville Beach

 

Wednesday 15.08.12

• Stage full day - East coast – Palmar lagoon crossing / Distance: 5 nautical miles

• Relaxed riding down this fairly short lagoon to meet up at public beach of Poste La Fayette with lunch on the beach and free rides on this beautiful spot.

• Transfer by coach from Merville Beach to stage Start and back after Finish

• Night at Merville Beach

 

Thursday 16.08.12

• Stage – full day: East to North east coast – Roche Noires to Anse la Raie crossing /

• Distance: 11 nautical miles of beautiful down winder.

• Transfer by coach from Merville Beach to stage Start and back after Finish

• Night at Merville Beach

 

Friday 17.08.12

• Free day and free evening

• Night at Merville Beach

 

Saturday 18.08.12 and Sunday 19.08.12

Kiteival’s Competition which will take place at Anse la Raie spot
