Kot Marie Michelle is a table d’hôte, housed in the middle of the Island in a village (Midlands). Surrounded by several dams, mountains, sugar cane fields and tea cultivation, hunting grounds, far from the noise of the towns. We breath fresh air either in the sunshine or in the usual rain. Kot Marie Michelle is excursively traditional cuisine using raw materials from the region. Vegetables and greens come mostly from our cottage garden. Spices roasted on wooden flames are crushed manually on the (roche-carri) as our grandmothers did. In fact two young grandmothers operate the table d’hôte. This is unique in Mauritius.
