The small and medium-sized hotels of Mauritius are grouped under local associations: the ‘Authentic Hotels & Guest Houses, Mauritius’, members of AHRIM (Association Des Hoteliers et Restaurateurs – Ile Maurice), and the ‘Association Des Hotels De Charme’ (AHC).
With the growth experienced since years to tremendous effort of promoting Mauritius as a quality destination, Mauritius is a multi sector tourism industry.
ATO is the industry Association that regroups operators from the accommodation sector operating under different type of licenses for instance hotels, bungalows, tourist residence and guest houses from the Tourism Authority. Our objective is to ensure that guests to have a wide range of different accommodation type and to meet their satisfaction to their budget. We have developped our own standards to make clients to reach to that satisfaction level to what they have spent. Visitors can choose to stay in resorts as well as to have the choice to budgeted hotels and other quality standard accommodation depending on the group size travel, Individuals, small group of families etc.
The largest Inbound Tour Operators are regrouped with the Association of Inbound Operators (Mauritius) AIOM.
